Nyukani Education Centre’s administration is manned by two managers; one each for administration and finance, supported by the administration staff, including revenue clerks, receptionists. 

ADMISSION POLICY & REQUIREMENTS

Nyukani Education Centre’s admission policy and requirements are as follows:

GRADE R

ENTRY/EXIT AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Children who are four (4) years old turning five (5) by 30 June in the year of enrolment are eligible for admission.

GRADE 1

ENTRY/EXIT AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Children who are five (5) years old turning six (6) by 30 June in the year of enrolment are eligible for admission.

GRADE 12

ENTRY/EXIT AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Learners must exit Grade 12 by the age of 19 years, before they turn 20 years.

ADMISSION POLICY & REQUIREMENTS

  • A non-refundable registration fee of R500-00 is payable for admission.
  • Entry tests may be administered at the school’s discretion for admission into certain grades.
  • The deadline for enrolment is 30 November the previous year

CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT


  1. Each application is subject to payment of a non-refundable application fee of R500.00 (five hundred Rand).
  2. Each confirmed enrolment is subject to payment of a non-refundable registration fee equivalent to one month's fees.
  3. In terms of the Enrolment Contract fees are payable annually or monthly in advance from 1st January to 1st December.
  4. Fees in arrears will attract interest of 2% above the current South-African Prime interest rate, from due date to date of actual payment.
  5. Additional expenses per grade e.g. Educational Excursions, Sports Trips, Textbooks, Examination fees, Olympiad fees, Eisteddfod fees, Music lessons, Aftercare, Bus fares, etc. are payable monthly in advance.
  6. If at the end of a term, the fees are in arrears, the learner may not, at the discretion of the Executive Head (Principal), be allowed to return to NEC at the beginning of the next term until the arrear fees are settled in full.
  7. Educational Excursions will be added to the school fee account. Under no circumstances will learners be permitted to attend or participate in such excursions if the fee account is in arrears.
  8. Grade 12 learners will not be allowed to attend the Grade 12 Farewell Function in their final year unless tuition fees in arrears are paid up in full, as also any cost of such Farewell Function
  9. Payments to NEC must be done via EFT or direct deposits. All applicants are required to sign a direct debit order form for payment of fees.
  10. Should the school fee account have a balance outstanding after the last debit order run on 1st December, additional debit orders will be raised for the 15th of December until fees are settled.
  11. Payments by credit card or debit card are accepted at the Finance Office.
  12. Any debit order that is unpaid shall incur a penalty of R100.00 payable by the applicant. Should three debit orders have been returned, only credit card payments or direct EFT payments will thereafter be accepted.
  13. Debit orders stopped and reversed by parents/account holders after the 10th of the month will incur an admin fee of R100.00.
  14. In terms of the Enrolment Contract a full term's notice in writing must be given should a learner intend to leave the school. Failure to do so, will incur a penalty of a full term's tuition fees.
  15. Notice period of a full calendar month must be given for the cancellation of any additional payment for extra-mural activities.
  16. All applicants, parents and/or guardians must sign and accept the school's Code of Conduct and acknowledge that they and their child/ren are bound to such terms and conditions.
  17. 5% Discount is if the full annual fee is paid before the 31st January.
  18. Biological siblings from the third child enrolled are eligible for a 5% discount.

  • JUNIOR PRIMARY SCHOOL: Clean and properly fitting bottle green short or long pants worn with a white open-neck short-sleeve shirt or white long-sleeve shirt with a top button and bottle green school tie with gold stripe, bottle green socks with gold stripes and polished black leather shoes.  The shirts must have the school badge.
  • SENIOR PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOL: Clean and properly fitting bottle green long trouser secured by a black leather belt with a traditional buckle worn with a white open-neck short-sleeve shirt or white long-sleeve shirt with a top button and bottle green school tie with gold stripe, bottle green socks with gold stripes and polished black leather shoes.  The shirts must have the school badge.
  • BOTH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS: Bottle green school blazer, bottle green sleeveless pullover or bottle green long-sleeve school jersey with gold stripes, white sleeveless pullover or white long-sleeve school jersey with gold stripes and bottle green tracksuit with gold contrast.  The blazer, pullover and jersey must all have the school badge.
